Barbara Nelson is a Speech Language Pathologist who over the past ten years, has focused increasingly on the area of infant feeding. Seeing that feeding issues could often have been identified or resolved earlier led to younger and younger patients. A gap in services sparked her to become a Certified Lactation Counselor and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. Now her professional mission is to support the mother-baby dyad by creating educational materials that help mothers to identify red flags early and empower them with the right language to get the support they need. She believes that food is one of the best simple pleasures, medicine, and promoter of social connectivity available and that we all deserve to enjoy mealtime.
